AB - Background: One of the biggest dreams of every couple is to have a healthy child of the desired sex. Different parts of the palm are used in traditional medicine for the treatment of reproductive disorders. Therefore, this study carried out with the aim of investigating the effect of palm pollen aqueous extract on the sex ratio of offspring in mice. Materials and Methods: In this study the mice weighing approximately 35-30 g were used in the control groups, experimental and control male and female. Each group consisted of 8 male and female mice, respectively. Each of the experimental groups were divided into three groups of 8 mice that received doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg / kg palm pollen extract per day for 35 days. And on the last day of administration, mice were mated with males and females from different groups and after birth were studied in relation to their gender. Data were analyzed using tests of ANOVA, Duncan and t Wilcoxon Tes. Results: Regarding the findings, palm pollen aqueous extract causes a significant increase in the proportion of male infants than female infants. Conclusion: Probably pollen extract minerals such as potassium and sodium have effect on the increase of male infants than the female ones, that needs to do more biochemical investigations in the future.
